Demi Cup Bra

Sometimes referred to as a half or shelf bra. A partial-cup bra style that covers from half to three-quarters of the breast and creates cleavage and uplift.

Most demi-cup bras are designed with a slight tilt that pushes the breasts towards the center to display more cleavage. The straps usually attach at the outer edge of the cup.

There is a general tendency in the market that plus size ladies are told not to wear push-up bras, but some push-ups offer excellent support. They come in sizes up to 44H, and offers three-piece cups made of breathable power mesh, plus a wide, three-hook closure in the back.

Adhesive Bra

Originally designed as falsies, adhesive bras are used for cleavage enhancement. There is gel or silicone on these bras which help them stick to the body. That is how this bra derives its name ‘adhesive’ which literally means sticky.

Adhesive bras can be divided into two types, full adhesive bras and semi or half adhesive bras. Sometimes described as backless/strapless or a stick-on bra.

Usually made of silicone, polyurethane, or similar material, they are attached to the underside of the breasts using medical-grade adhesive. Some versions provide one piece for each breast. These bras can be reused for a limited number of times and provides little support.

Deep Plunge Bra

Deep Plunge Bras are sometimes also known as U-plunge bra if they are particularly plunging with a distinct u-shaped opening between the breasts.

Allows for lower cleavage. Designed with angled cups and an open and lowered centre gore. The shoulder straps are usually set widely apart.

What makes this particular style of bra different from the rest is that it is extremely low cut in style. Suitable for dresses or outfits with a deep dress or plunging neckline, like a blouse or a low cut dress.

Also suitable for swimwear, even for women with fuller breasts. Another difference between this and say a push up bra is that deep plunge bras are not heavily padded, which makes it a suitable option for the plus size ladies.

Minimizer Bras

These are the most common type of bras you get when it comes to plus size bras. These make you look firm and fit. They make your breasts appear flatter and more compact. You can use these bras on a daily basis.

What makes the minimizer bras so popular among the plus size ladies is their ability to compress and flatten the breasts. They are designed in such a way that the emphasis is on de-emphasizing the bosom.

They go very well with formal clothing as well. There are certain minimizer bras that have certain prints that make you look thin. You can opt for them as well.

Shelf Bra

A shelf bra is sometimes also referred to as a cupless, open-cup, half-, or even quarter-cup bra. An underwire fashion design that offers minimal breast coverage, supporting only a portion of the underside of the breast, pushing the breast upward, and leaving the nipple and areola uncovered. Suitable for erotic purposes or when a woman would otherwise have to go braless.

A shelf bra is to be kept for special occasions when the heat turns on during a date. It is not for everyday use generally and is kept for occasions like your wedding, a long due date with your loved one and things like that.
