Lindsey Nicole Pelas, a model, actress, social media influencer, and entrepreneur was born on 19 May 1991. The American star hails from a small village near Independence, Louisiana in the United States of America. 

Among eight other children in her family, Lindsey Pelas aspired to become a huge movie star. Although that dream did not pan out the way she wanted, Lindsey Pelas has managed to carve out a strong career for herself in one of the toughest industries in the world, fashion, and modeling. 

One of the many stories of plus size women making their mark on this cutthroat industry and exploding onto the world scene.

Pelas attended Louisiana State University and graduated after obtaining a bachelor’s degree in history. Post her graduation, Lindsey Pelas worked as a bartender and yoga instructor prior to embarking on her journey as a model. 

Having started her career in 2013, she immediately tasted success after grabbing multiple photoshoots with Playboy. Since her glory days with Playboy, Pelas decided to venture into one of the hot topics then, social media. 

Social media was on the rise then and that is exactly why she decided to take to Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to talk about modeling and its benefits. 

This southern belle moved to Los Angeles in 2015 and her bombshell looks quickly caught the eyes of local photographers.  

She created viral videos, photos, and content that took her from a Hollywood newbie to one of the internet’s most famed beauties. Lindsey has appeared in a number of magazines, movies, TV shows, music videos, and commercials and is a member of SAG/AFTRA.  

She’s worked with brands like Revolve, YEEZY Season 6, UFC, Cosmopolitan, The Steve Harvey Show, MTV’s Wild’N’Out, Maxim, and FHM. She has taken up her work a notch and her activities on social media have earned rave reviews from millions of followers.

Among the most recognizable faces in the plus size modeling circle, Lindsey Pelas has gone on to appear in a lot of podcasts and interviews. Upon the popularity and appreciation that those interviews and podcasts got, Pelas decided to start a new venture. 

This venture was starting her own podcast Eyes Up Here with Lindsey Pelas. Why this podcast was so important from her perspective because of the topics she discussed on it. On her show, Pelas features celebrity guests and personal friends of her own to discuss a range of topics like personal projects, promoting body positivity, current news headlines, pop culture, lifestyle, beauty tips, and more. 

The title of the podcast aims to shift the focus of listeners from a superficial perspective to a more in-depth discussion on relevant issues of today.

Her podcast is a weekly podcast filled with celebrity guests, and thought-provoking questions with a recurring theme on breaking social stereotypes. The show has already appeared in the Top 200 Charts on iTunes and can be found on iTunes, Soundcloud, and Google Play.  

Other projects of Pelas include three published calendars titled “Dirty South”, “Nearly Naked”, and, “Wet”. “Dirty South” pays homage to Lindsey’s home state, Louisiana, shooting exclusively in the New Orleans area. 

With her second calendar, Pelas decided to emphasize her stance on body positivity, showing off what she calls her “Genetically Gifted” physique. 2019’s edition, “Wet”, may be Lindsey’s most risqué. 

When asked about the calendar, Pelas said in a Maxim interview “I knew the only way to top being naked was being wet.” Lindsey also released a limited edition “Genetically Gifted” T-shirt collection for presale in June 2018. 

Pelas has always believed that entrepreneurial instincts and go go-get-it it attitude are her biggest assets and she believes in pushing her boundaries every time she decides to do something new. 

Lindsey finds her greatest accomplishments in her entrepreneurial spirit. In 2017 and 2018 she created, directed, styled, produced, and sold her own annual swimsuit calendars Dirty South and Nearly Naked. 

The success of her internationally-sold calendars has gotten the attention of many who seek tips and guidance on using the Internet for success. Lindsey has spoken on digital marketing at many panels and conferences including the Global Ventures Summit in LA and Mexico City, MX as well as Complex Con and the Forum. 

When she isn’t taking over the world, Lindsey is spending time with her friends, family, and her one-eyed morkie dog, Tosh. 

As a former aerial yoga instructor and professional cheerleader, Lindsey lives an active lifestyle filled with pilates, yoga, spin, boxing, and anything that gets her heart rate up.  

She’s also involved in charity events and fundraising including the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, the Midnight Mission, Operation Blankets of Love, and For the Troops. Since 2013, she has always dared to fight for her dreams and she has since garnered a lot of popularity on social media and even in social circles. 

Body positivity has taken the internet world and the world of fashion by storm and along with other women, Lindsey Pelas is among those women who have led this revolution from the front. 

Still only 28, Lindsey Pelas has already tasted stardom and become a popular figure among a lot of the population.

There is still a long way to go and it will be interesting to see what route she chooses next to bring something new to the market and the world in general.
